Job Title: Vice President Corporate Marketing
Location: United States

Job Overview:
The Vice President of Corporate Marketing will lead and manage the Company’s corporate marketing organization, ensuring effective global communication of the brand to drive growth and enhance the Company’s reputation. This role encompasses oversight of branding, marketing strategy, advertising, corporate messaging, internal and external communications, and the strategic use of marketing data to support business development. The VP will define, implement, and measure global corporate marketing initiatives aimed at building brand awareness and consideration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications Strategy

  • Define and execute the corporate marketing and brand strategy to ensure consistent global branding and messaging that supports Company objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and foster innovation to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build strategic partnerships and develop marketing initiatives that drive sales and revenue.
  • Adjust marketing plans to align with industry and client trends, analyzing needs and competitor strategies.
  • Promote the Company’s competitive advantages through targeted messaging and positioning.
  • Develop a segmentation strategy in collaboration with Business Development and key stakeholders.
  • Engage with media, analysts, and thought leaders to cultivate a positive perception of the Company.
  • Present a differentiated global brand across various channels, ensuring consistent stewardship.
  • Manage global Public Relations and guide relevant press coverage and thought leadership placements for executives.
  • Develop communication strategies in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Marketing Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of Marketing & Communications, ensuring effective implementation of branding initiatives.
  • Design and implement marketing campaigns and public relations programs across various channels.
  • Monitor marketing performance using KPIs and keep leadership informed.
  • Manage the Corporate Marketing budget, optimizing resource allocation for campaigns.
  • Interface with external agencies for PR, advertising, branding, and creative services.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitor information to inform strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Continuously assess the marketing technology stack to enhance efficiency.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance and support.
  • Coordinate team responsibilities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Cultivate and develop team members to enhance industry knowledge and functional competencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise employees, managing hiring, training, performance, and conflict resolution in alignment with organizational policies.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Communications, English, or Journalism; relevant experience or advanced degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 15 years of relevant experience in a high-growth global clinical research organization, with direct responsibility for corporate and product marketing strategy.
  • Proven track record in an executive marketing leadership role within a clinical research environment.
  • Experience in leading branding strategy and execution.
  • Knowledge of regional marketing strategies in key countries (e.g., China, U.S., Germany, U.K.).

Skills/Competencies

  • Strong critical thinking and strategic acumen with the ability to synthesize data into actionable plans.
  • Hands-on leader capable of inspiring and influencing teams.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive marketing strategies across branding, product promotion, and communications.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for driving performance in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to balance internal resources and vendor partnerships effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Capabilities

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
  • Ability to work remotely with a flexible schedule to accommodate global conference calls.
