We are seeking an Executive Consultant to join our Strategic Consulting Practice. As a seasoned Biostatistician, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Cytel’s reputation for thought leadership and innovative services. You will lead engagements with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients, fostering long-term relationships and contributing to the development of cutting-edge statistical methodologies. This role includes developing and demonstrating thought leadership in statistical methodology for clinical development and elevating Cytel’s brand recognition throughout the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development, account management, and project execution for a substantial client portfolio, focusing on both revenue and client satisfaction. Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Cytel’s business units by addressing emerging customer needs with tailored solutions.
  • Serve as a recognized thought leader and strategic advisor in areas such as optimal regulatory and clinical development pathways, adaptive designs, and model-informed drug development. Develop new methodologies and approaches, providing scientific support to Cytel’s multidisciplinary team, and disseminate findings through conferences, webinars, and publications.
  • Manage assigned Strategic Consulting accounts and projects, acting as the primary point of contact for clients. Build and maintain successful partnerships, taking ownership of clients’ strategic needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in your areas of expertise, collaborating with other consultants and associates to represent Cytel effectively.
  • Regularly engage with senior management and executives at client organizations, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to build and leverage relationships both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of customer decision-making processes and the ability to identify and capture transformational opportunities. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and gain respect from management teams, board members, and client personnel.
  • In-depth knowledge of the biopharmaceutical R&D process combined with solid business acumen and an appreciation of broader business issues.
  • Strategic thinker with a global perspective, exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to execute complex strategies effectively.
  • Proven management experience with a track record of building, mentoring, and motivating teams of consultants and analysts.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies (FDA/EMA) and key opinion leaders to enhance development plans.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related field; MBA, MD, PhD, or advanced degree preferred. At least 15 years of experience in consulting, clinical trials, or health research.
