Job Summary

The Vendor Manager Associate plays a key role in the Vendor Quality and Qualification team within our Clinical Vendor Strategy (CVS) department, supporting the qualification of third-party clinical vendors. This position is responsible for the qualification and requalification process of vendors providing services or products that directly support clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the vendor qualification process for Fortrea clinical vendors, assessing capabilities under the direction of management in Vendor Quality and Qualification.
  • Coordinate the qualification process with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in QA, Clinical Sourcing, and functional areas, maintaining effective tracking of process completion.
  • Issue, collect, and review vendor qualification documents such as CDA, DDF, and RFI, ensuring timely follow-up on qualification requests.
  • Collaborate with the QA department during vendor qualification audits, in accordance with Vendor Qualification Committee (VQC) recommendations.
  • Create and maintain the Clinical Vendor List (CVL), ensuring it provides clear information on available approved vendors.
  • Ensure accurate and complete vendor files are maintained, with documentation available for QA, Clinical Sourcing, compliance, and clinical audits.
  • Provide CAPA and audit support as needed.
  • Participate in and support other CVS initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences.
  • Experience: 3+ years in the life sciences industry (CRO, pharma, biotech) with experience in vendor qualification, vendor management, or QA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical research and comprehensive knowledge of clinical trial services and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a team environment under time and resource pressures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Good presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office programs.
  • Proactive self-starter, multi-tasker, and creative problem solver with excellent project management skills.
  • Well-organized team player and enthusiastic agent of change.
