Job Description:

ALOIS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist for a travel assignment in Grants Pass, OR. This role will involve reviewing prescriptions, compounding, and dispensing prescribed drugs according to regulatory guidelines in a retail pharmacy setting. The Clinical Pharmacist will also provide consultations to customers on drug safety, potential interactions, and medication use.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and legality.
  • Compound and dispense medications according to prescribed directions and regulations.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential drug interactions, and safety precautions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Assist in managing pharmacy inventory and stock levels.
  • Answer questions from customers regarding medications and their effects.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of prescription preparation and distribution.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in the state of Oregon or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Experience: Previous clinical pharmacy experience in a retail or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in medication dispensing.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of drug safety, interactions, and pharmacology.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Package: Competitive, based on 40 hours/week and 8-hour shifts (subject to confirmation).
  • Stipend: Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
