Job Title: Trainee Medical Coder

Department: Medical Coding

Job Location: Onsite

Reporting To: Team Lead


Role Overview:

The Trainee Medical Coder is responsible for coding patients’ charts and diagnosis reports while ensuring quality and productivity standards are met. The role involves learning and implementing coding practices while adhering to client requirements and specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

Medical Coding & Quality Compliance:

  • Accurately code or audit charts and diagnosis reports based on project requirements.
  • Ensure that deliverables meet client quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and updates provided via email or team meetings.

Operational Activities:

  • Regularly review and update production and pending reports.
  • Prepare and maintain status reports on coding activities.
  • Assist in miscellaneous tasks requiring coding expertise as directed by the supervisor.

Productivity & Client Expectations:

  • Meet the daily and monthly productivity targets set by clients.
  • Understand client requirements thoroughly to deliver precise outcomes within stipulated timelines.

Desired Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields preferred.
  • Certification in Medical Coding (optional but advantageous).

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of medical coding concepts and practices.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in handling medical data and software applications.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work under strict timelines.

Work Mode:

Onsite
