Telehealth Clinical Pharmacist
Organization: ABSMC-Ashby Campus
Location: San Francisco, CA

Position Overview:
This is a telehealth clinical pharmacist position working 7 days on/7 days off during evening hours. The pharmacist will collaborate with eICU intensivists and nurses in a central hub located in San Francisco to manage critical care and other patients remotely across multiple Sutter Health hospitals. Residency and/or board certification in critical care is preferred. The role involves delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care, including medication information, education, preparation, and distribution, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise sound judgment and clinical skills to provide input on and implement patient care plans based on timely diagnoses.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through competent assessments and effective communication.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and policies to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • May perform specific tasks and/or orient other staff within the department.

Education:

  • Doctorate: Graduation from an accredited school of Pharmacy.

Certification & Licensure:

  • PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist or PHARMR - Registered Pharmacist
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (for those responding to codes)

Typical Experience:

  • 1 year of recent relevant experience.

  • Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend

Pay Range:
$90.94 to $104.56 per hour. The salary range may vary based on location, experience, education, skills, and other factors. Compensation is part of a comprehensive benefits package.
