Job Description:

At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. As part of the Innovative Medicine R&D IT team, the Technical Product Owner will be responsible for defining and delivering technical solutions for Clinical Data Acquisition and Operations. This role involves both technical delivery and value realization, ensuring the product’s architecture aligns with business needs and technology standards. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiencies using cognitive automation and help scale solutions to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the product squad.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Product Owner to define strategies and implement product solutions.

  • Technical Solutions: Select and test technical solutions, coding as needed, and supporting system/code reviews.

  • Operational Efficiency: Improve operational processes using SDLC tools, CI/CD automation, and contribute to system integrations for analytics and compliance.

  • Agile Development: Lead the development process in an agile environment, ensuring iterative delivery and adaptability.

  • Pilot Programs: Lead pilots, analyze results, and refine solutions for scalability.

  • Deployment: Oversee the testing, deployment, and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or IT.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years in relevant IT and business experience.

    • Knowledge of global clinical regulations, IT project management, and systems support.

    • Strong coding skills in at least one language (C/C++, C#, Python, Java).

    • Experience with clinical systems and system/data integration.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information at all levels.

    • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies (preferably GCP).

    • 20% domestic travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, and Large Language Models in a pharmaceutical business environment.

  • Knowledge of clinical contracting processes.
