Job Description: Systems Specialist – Reporting and Analysis

Location: Bengaluru Luxor North Tower

Key Responsibilities:

  • Japanese Language Skills: Proficient in Japanese for effective communication with stakeholders.
  • SQL/Power BI Report Development: Develop and implement custom reports using SQL and Power BI, providing complex query and reporting support for end users. Write advanced SQL queries to extract and analyze data, while configuring the overall reporting environment.
  • Data Analysis: Extract, inspect, clean, transform, and model raw data to highlight useful information and support decision-making.
  • Systems Validation: Plan, execute, and report on user acceptance testing, ensuring that all systems operate as expected. Document findings for internal and external audits.
  • Support: Diagnose and resolve end-user issues, escalating problems as necessary. Provide timely and expert resolution to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Asia Pacific stakeholders to meet safety systems users' needs.
  • Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives within the Global Clinical Safety & Pharmacovigilance (GCSP) team.
  • Helpdesk Management: Manage and respond to helpdesk requests related to query and reporting environments.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Business Analytics, or a related field, with a minimum of 4-9 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in clinical development and pharmacovigilance.

Job Related Experience:

  • Strong experience with SQL/PL-SQL development and querying.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and other data modeling/reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Data Virtualization tools (e.g., Denodo) and experience with data caching.
  • Experience in scheduling management in Power BI and generating reports from DataMart.
  • Proficiency in Cognos and/or Power BI for report development based on user requirements.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of identifying and conveying issues promptly.
  • Strong analytical skills for documenting requirements based on user input.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and customer-focused approaches.
  • Good understanding of GxP testing and validation processes.
  • Experience in business analysis and writing report specifications and user acceptance test documents.
