Job Title: Systems Administrator
Job Location: India (Remote)

Job Overview:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for a range of computer systems administration and support tasks for IT systems utilized in clinical trials and SG&A. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to assess business processes and manage the systems administration for assigned SaaS applications. Key responsibilities include identifying problems, assessing risks, and applying technical expertise to resolve issues from start to finish. The Systems Administrator will plan, manage, and maintain the organization’s software applications following best practices, ensuring high operational compliance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure applications align with business requirements and systems goals through effective administration and operations, while identifying and resolving related issues.
  • Monitor system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal (e.g., discussions, team meetings) and written forms (e.g., procedures, end-user updates).
  • Research, analyze, and monitor opportunities for continuous improvement of clinical systems and supporting IT systems.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to troubleshoot system problems and identify potential improvements.
  • Establish processes with software vendors for timely resolution of issues or major incidents.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of business functions and processes and how they are supported by IT, working closely with QA to keep validation documents updated.
  • Contribute to developing the IT roadmap for clinical systems.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience managing SaaS IT systems related to business administration (e.g., HR systems like Taleo, ADP, Quantum, or CRM systems).
  • Experience in business system administration, configuration, support for system updates, and end-user support.
  • Familiarity with service desk workload management for user requests and support.

Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to work professionally with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Effective persuasion, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Analytical skills to quickly identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Capabilities

  • Ability to work remotely and sit for extended periods.
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard or mouse and handle other computer components.
