Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert Guidance: Act as the primary resource for medical coding expertise, ensuring accurate and efficient coding practices across projects.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to optimize medical coding operations and processing efficiency.
  • Training & Support: Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials for coding staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge to meet project standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Address complex coding issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all coding activities adhere to regulatory standards and organizational guidelines. Perform regular audits to uphold compliance and accuracy.

Job Specification:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in medical coding, specializing in multispecialty coding.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of coding practices and guidelines, including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex coding scenarios.
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in medical coding software and tools.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and support team members effectively.
