Position Overview:
As a Scientific Analyst Intern, you will assist in the routine analysis of biological samples, while gaining hands-on experience with laboratory procedures and operating standards. The position provides an opportunity to work with a variety of immunological testing methods to support clinical and preclinical studies in regulated environments (GLP, GMP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sample analysis using immunological techniques such as ELISA, ECL, and qPCR in support of clinical and preclinical studies.
  • Document analysis activities and assist in verifying various documents in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate analysis series using appropriate instruments and software.
  • Monitor result analysis and assist in troubleshooting bioanalytical issues.
  • Assist with the disposal of chemical and biological waste and ensure cleanliness of laboratory equipment.
  • Support laboratory users with various tasks as needed.
  • Conduct all activities according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines.
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed at least one year of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Microbiology.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time availability during the summer session (May 5th, 2025 – August 22nd, 2025, approximately 16 weeks).
  • On-site role in Québec (2500 Rue Einstein, Parc Technologique de Québec), no remote or alternate location options available.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week).
  • Housing and transport are not provided.
  • French fluency is required, with intermediate proficiency in English.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ongoing Bachelor's degree or college diploma in scientific fields.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical software.
  • Intermediate English level; ability to understand simple messages and instructions.
  • Additional relevant certifications may be considered.
