Pharmacist - Mullaney’s Pharmacy & Home Healthcare (Cincinnati, OH)

Position Details:

  • Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Schedule: Weekly 4 - 10 hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 10:30 AM - 8:30 PM
  • Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
  • Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure accuracy.
  • Verify legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing drugs based on patient allergies, current medications, and refill frequency.
  • Interpret prescription orders and use professional judgment to ensure patient safety and legal compliance.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
  • Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, and facility staff.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, placing orders when needed and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide performance feedback to supervisors.
  • Log medication errors and report as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards.

Education & Certifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Required: State Pharmacist License with no restrictions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Advanced computer skills; experience with pharmacy operations systems is preferred.
  • Strong ability to work independently, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Quality-focused with a proactive approach to error detection.
