    Position Overview:

    The Senior SQL Reports Programmer will play a crucial role in advancing our data management functions, specifically within Clinical Data Management (CDM) studies. This role focuses on application development, SSRS reporting, application integration, and SSIS package expertise. The ideal candidate will excel in setting up, customizing, and automating reports tailored to CDM studies, while navigating complex data integration challenges. A deep understanding of CDM processes and systems is highly beneficial for this role. This position offers an opportunity to directly impact the optimization of data management solutions in clinical research.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Software Design and Improvement:

      • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and evaluate user requirements.
      • Translate concepts into flow diagrams, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
      • Conduct user testing internally and externally to validate designs and iterate based on feedback.
      • Create intuitive and efficient designs for user interaction and data visualization.
      • Document design work and user feedback.
      • Develop a strong understanding of user communities, their tasks, and challenges.
      • Advocate for users and the UI/UX design process.

    • Technical Support and Guidance:

      • Collaborate with the team to implement and verify proposed improvements.
      • Work directly with clients to identify requirements and ensure a positive experience.
      • Analyze existing user interface designs and propose improvements.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    • Quality Service and Standards:

      • Read, understand, and adhere to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
      • Assist in establishing and enforcing departmental standards.

    • Team Contribution:

      • Resolve issues in collaboration with internal staff.
      • Explore new opportunities to add value to organizational and departmental processes.
      • Support colleagues in achieving results and perform other duties as assigned.

    • Technical and Industry Knowledge:

      • Participate in company-sponsored training to maintain up-to-date technical and industry knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
      • Educational background in Human-Computer Interaction, Usability, User-Centered Design, User Experience, Information Design, Applied Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related fields is a plus.

    • Experience:

      • 8 to 10 years of experience in user interface and user experience design methodologies with a strong understanding of the design process.
      • Proficiency as an application developer with expertise in SSRS reporting, application integration, and data export/import via SSIS packages.
      • Experience with Adobe XD and Adobe Creative Suite.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead design and user test sessions.
      • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies and how design systems translate into code.
      • Experience with Bootstrap and Angular is a plus.
      • Background in Enterprise software solutions is beneficial.
      • Experience with Agile development processes.
      • Familiarity with graphics and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, Axure, or Protoshare.
