What You Will Do

In this vital role as a Sr. Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will play an essential part in advancing Amgen’s science and products, particularly in the allergy/asthma therapeutic area. You will engage with healthcare stakeholders to communicate scientific data and clinical value, supporting Amgen’s corporate goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Engagement: Educate and communicate clinical and economic data to providers, payers, and other stakeholders, promoting scientific understanding and advancing Amgen’s therapeutic platform.
  • Field Observations: Provide field insights and observations to internal teams to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Medical Education & Support: Develop and implement local scientific engagement plans, provide speaker training, and support Amgen-sponsored research.
  • Collaboration: Lead or support congress activities, cross-functional collaboration, and liaise with external stakeholders such as KOLs and advocacy groups.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a mentor for new hires, help with training initiatives, and demonstrate Amgen’s values through leadership and collaboration.

What We Expect of You

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and adaptable professional with a deep understanding of clinical science and therapeutic areas, especially in allergy and asthma. We’re looking for someone who is committed to patient-centered care and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree with at least 2 years of MSL experience
    OR
  • Master’s degree with at least 4 years of MSL experience
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of MSL experience
    OR
  • Associate’s degree with at least 10 years of MSL experience
    OR
  • High school diploma/GED with at least 12 years of MSL experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (Other Doctoral Degrees considered)
  • 5+ years of experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • At least 3 years of experience as an MSL
  • Therapeutic Expertise: Respiratory or Allergy therapeutic area experience is highly preferred
  • Clinical Practice: Experience in clinical research or medical practice
  • Communication & Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
