A Day in the Life

Role Overview: As a key representative of Medical Affairs in India, you'll lead and execute medical affairs projects, focusing on specific therapeutic areas or spanning several. Your role bridges the clinical needs of the region with the strategic goals of Medtronic, ensuring the highest standards of care and innovation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent Medtronic as the clinical/medical face within the country/region, acting as the voice of local customers and authorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Health Economic, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, global team), physicians, and hospitals to address unmet clinical needs and improve care quality.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans.
  • Develop real-world evidence and projects aligned with regional and global strategies.
  • Facilitate Investigator Initiated Studies and External Research Programs, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
  • Provide medical strategic inputs and support to clinical studies.
  • Develop and articulate value propositions for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders through appropriate channels.
  • Build knowledge in reimbursement and health management to address clinical solutions.
  • Drive education and outreach for the safe and effective use of products.
  • Lead healthcare professional (HCP) education and engagement plans.
  • Develop and lead physician advisory boards and consultancies.
  • Stay aware of local clinical activity and new clinical evidence, providing input to sales and marketing leaders.
  • Advise on marketing strategies based on publication outcomes.
  • Provide expert review of marketing/sales presentations, scientific communications, and publications.
  • Disseminate clinical evidence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide input to support tenders as needed.
  • Act as the clinical representative of Medtronic to competent authorities.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • MBBS/MD/MS
  • In-depth knowledge of local laws and regulations for clinical research and pharmaceutical conduct codes.

Experience:

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, or clinical marketing roles.
