What You Will Do

At Amgen, our mission to serve patients fuels everything we do, and as a Sr. Medical Advisor – Hematology/Oncology, you will be at the forefront of medical strategy for critical therapeutic areas. You will lead the medical strategy for hematology products and the launch of a new oncology product in gastric cancer. This role requires you to be a primary medical expert, engaging with cross-functional and global teams to drive key medical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement local medical strategies for hematology products, ensuring collaboration with MSLs and the Franchise team.
  • Oncology Product Launch: Lead the strategic planning and execution for the gastric cancer product launch, ensuring biomarker testing and integration into clinical guidelines.
  • Scientific Expertise: Serve as the medical authority for your products, handling complex inquiries and educating stakeholders on the latest science.
  • Engagement & Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), study groups, patient organizations, and lead medical events, including advisory boards.
  • Regulatory & Access Support: Provide medical expertise for reimbursement discussions and regulatory dossier development while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: MD, PharmD, PhD, or University degree in a relevant field.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in hematology-oncology or related therapeutic areas. Experience in product launches is preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically with strong business acumen, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Science-Based & Analytical: Data-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communicator with internal teams and external stakeholders, including KOLs and patient organizations.
