Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring study launch, conduct, and closeout are completed according to customer and company agreements.
  • Team Leadership: Direct project management teams to ensure deliverables are met on time, with quality, and according to contracted scope and customer expectations.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Therapeutic Strategy and Innovation team to provide operational input for proposal development, pricing, and bid defense meetings.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of projects, including contracts, change orders, forecasting, invoicing, and more.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor to junior staff, enhancing their leadership, project management, and customer relationship skills.
  • Problem Solving: Address project-related challenges and escalate issues when necessary, facilitating team building and communication.
  • Risk Mitigation: Support teams in identifying and mitigating risks to ensure patient safety, data integrity, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on evolving trends in therapeutic areas, competitive landscapes, and drug development.
  • Best Practices: Share lessons learned and best practices across teams and departments.
  • Senior Client Relations: Maintain senior management-level relationships with clients via meetings, governance forums, and other activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • BA/BS in life sciences, nursing, or equivalent education/experience.
    • Extensive clinical research experience, including cross-functional project management in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company.
    • Experience in client relationship management, especially within the pharmaceutical/CRO industry.
    • Thorough understanding of FDA regulations, drug development processes, and clinical monitoring procedures.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with ICH/GCP guidelines.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Proven ability to foster teamwork and apply project management disciplines effectively in high-tech, fast-paced environments.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: The annual base salary for this position ranges from $145,700 to $306,500, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • Benefits: The role may include a company car or car allowance, health benefits (medical, dental, vision), 401k with company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan eligibility, commissions/bonus potential, and flexible PTO.
