The Enterprise Data Solutions and Engineering (EDSE) team within Pfizer Digital oversees developing and managing data and analytic tools across the enterprise. This team drives innovation with cloud solutions, SaaS platforms, AI, advanced analytics, and industry-leading data management strategies.

Role Overview
The Sr Associate, Analytics Developer is pivotal in delivering data and analytic solutions to Pfizer's commercial business units. This role focuses on creating business intelligence (BI), advanced analytics, and AI-driven solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of BI, data management, reporting, and AI projects to maximize data value for commercial business objectives.
  • Develop end-to-end analytics solutions, including data curation, analysis, visualization, and deployment.
  • Address data quality issues, ensuring reliable and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with data science, performance insights, and strategy teams to build analytics tools for global markets.
  • Execute technical planning, data architecture design, modeling, and project implementation, ensuring alignment with Pfizer's standards.
  • Integrate advanced analytics and AI techniques into data engineering practices to create robust data products.
  • Conduct innovation sessions and prototyping to explore new analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless BI solutions, adhering to governance and compliance protocols.
  • Serve as a key escalation point during engineering phases, ensuring project timelines and goals are met.
  • Assist in thought leadership and roadmap creation for BI innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience (advanced degree preferred).

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years in analytics data engineering, BI, or analytics development in large organizations.
    • 2+ years of experience in commercial data and analytics with demonstrated business impact.
    • Proficiency in BI, data warehousing, big data, advanced analytics, and AI solutions.
    • Hands-on programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
    • Knowledge of AI applications using tools like OpenAI ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in Snowflake or similar data platforms.
    • Proficiency in Agile, SDLC, and CI/CD methodologies.
    • Experience with data visualization tools and requirements.
    • Familiarity with cloud architectures and pharma industry compliance standards like GDPR.

Preferred:

  • AI data engineering experience and knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with automation tools (low-code/no-code).
  • Knowledge of F.A.I.R. principles in analytics development.
  • Context-aware data management capabilities for AI-driven analytics.
