Position Summary

The Sr. Advisor - PK/PD & Pharmacometrics will provide scientific leadership in pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and pharmacometrics for Lilly’s drug discovery and development efforts. This position will involve applying quantitative approaches to support drug development strategies, lead key studies, prepare regulatory documents, and advocate for model-based decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Leadership and Decision Making:

  • Lead PK/PD aspects of project teams to support drug development.

  • Apply quantitative scientific approaches to select the right dose, patient population, and development strategies.

  • Lead preparation of Phase I, II, and III study protocols, analysis plans, and study reports.

Regulatory Documentation:

  • Prepare regulatory documents (e.g., INDs, IBs, CTDs) for drug development and registration.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Work cross-functionally to integrate PK/PD and pharmacometrics approaches.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to scientists within the department and beyond.

  • Represent the group in external scientific communities through publications and industry leadership.

Data Communication and Advocacy:

  • Communicate quantitative data and promote model-based decision making within teams and external partners.

Education and Experience

  • PhD and/or MD in Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, Computational Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in PK/PD and/or Clinical Pharmacology.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Experience with pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacometrics, and clinical pharmacology within drug development teams.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present data confidently.

Compensation

  • Anticipated Salary: $142,500 - $228,800 annually.
