Pharmacist Opportunity - Community Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Dispensing:

    • Accurately dispense prescription medications.
    • Verify prescription orders for accuracy and drug interactions.
    • Label medications and provide counseling on usage, dosage, and side effects.
  • Patient Counseling:

    • Counsel patients on their medications, including purpose, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
    • Promote medication adherence and safe drug use.
  • Health and Wellness:

    • Offer over-the-counter medication advice.
    • Administer vaccinations and other clinical services as authorized.
    • Conduct health screenings and offer preventive health counseling.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate medication inventory.
    • Order and receive medications and monitor expiration dates.
    • Dispose of outdated medications properly.
  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Adhere to all pharmacy laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    • Participate in ongoing education and stay updated on pharmacy practices.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:

    • Work with pharmacy technicians and healthcare professionals.
    • Supervise and train pharmacy technicians.
    • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current state pharmacy license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology.
