As a Senior Statistician, you will provide invaluable statistical expertise for the design, delivery, and interpretation of complex clinical and preclinical studies, with the chance to drive innovations in study design.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis Expertise: Provide statistical support for complex study designs and interpretation in preclinical or clinical programs, regulatory submissions, and commercialization.
  • Modelling and Simulation: Use internal and external data to perform modeling and simulation, providing insights to inform study design decisions.
  • Statistical Analysis Plan Development: Develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) for complex studies, ensuring they align with regulatory and scientific standards.
  • Regulatory Contributions: Contribute to regulatory submissions by applying statistical expertise to support decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Therapeutic Area scientists and partners from other departments, to ensure the quality and integrity of statistical analyses.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Educational Background: MSc/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics (with a substantial statistical component), or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Statistical Programming: Competence in SAS and R for statistical programming and data analysis.
  • Experience: Experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical or preclinical studies in various settings.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to apply statistical expertise to solve complex problems, with a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey statistical findings clearly and effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in teams and collaborating with colleagues across different levels within Biometrics and other departments.
  • Therapeutic Area Knowledge: Ability to work closely with Therapeutic Area scientists to address study-specific needs and objectives.
