Accountabilities

As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you will lead programming deliverables for clinical studies or small to medium-sized projects. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, timely, and efficient programming work for studies or projects.
  • Implementing statistical programming aspects of clinical protocols or development programs.
  • Ensuring quality in your deliverables and those of other programmers.
  • Writing specifications and overseeing relevant documentation.
  • Contributing to the development of best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards and automation usage.
  • Planning and leading team activities and tasks.
  • Identifying, managing, and communicating risks within assigned studies or projects.
  • Collaborating proactively with study team members, including statisticians, lead programmers, data managers, and study leaders.
  • Working cooperatively with contract programming providers.
  • Influencing stakeholders by providing subject matter expertise on programming-related items.
  • Contributing to or leading technical initiatives.
  • Employing project management practices in managing programming aspects of drug or technical projects.

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Degree in Mathematics (Applied Math, Engineering, etc.), Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent.
  • Excellent programming skills in SAS (or R) and SAS macros.
  • Proficient knowledge of the clinical development process and industry standards (CDISC).
  • Ability to apply programming knowledge to problem-solving.
  • Capability to manage relevant documentation and influence stakeholders on programming-related items.
  • Current knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Broad experience across multiple therapeutic areas and all phases of clinical trials.
  • Experience in regulatory submissions and interactions.
