Your Job:
As a Senior Specialist in Toxicology, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive toxicological assessments to ensure the safety and compliance of pharmaceutical products. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Toxicological Risk Assessment: Evaluate impurities and excipients in pharmaceutical products to assess potential health risks.
  • Structure-Activity Relationship Evaluation: Analyze the structure-activity relationship of chemicals, including Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) models, to identify health hazards of unstudied compounds.
  • Read-Across Evaluation: Identify structural analogues and develop rationales to support read-across evaluations.
  • Impurity Specification Development: Create safety rationales for setting impurity specifications in pharmaceutical products.
  • Literature Exploration: Review publicly available literature to support the development of safety rationales for unstudied chemicals.
  • Environmental Risk Assessment: Conduct environmental risk assessments for pharmaceuticals.
  • Health Hazard Assessment: Perform health hazard and risk assessments to address product quality issues and support product recall decisions.

Your Profile:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Pharmacology/Pharmacy or PhD in Pharmacology/Toxicology.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of the principles of toxicology and pharmacology is essential.
