Your Role:

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for independently managing and leading the outsourcing and contracting of R&D tasks throughout the lifecycle of a clinical development program. Your role will guide clinical trial teams in all activities related to contracting and pricing, directly impacting the costs and speed of clinical development programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Lead the outsourcing and contracting process for R&D tasks within clinical development programs, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with project timelines.
  • Pricing Strategy: Work closely with clinical teams to develop cost-effective strategies for outsourcing and pricing analysis.
  • Negotiation: Utilize superior negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with service providers and vendors, balancing quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical development, legal, and procurement to ensure contract terms align with business objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address risks associated with outsourcing and contracting, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Documentation: Oversee the preparation and management of contracts and other necessary documentation for regulatory and operational compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of contracting and pricing processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: Over 6 years of experience in clinical drug development within the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO, with expertise in outsourcing and clinical pricing.
  • Education: A university degree in a scientific, medical, or business discipline, or equivalent experience in clinical outsourcing or pricing analysis.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in clinical research and service procurement, with a focus on cost and speed optimization.
    • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to manage complex contracting processes.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable outcomes.
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
