Job Title: Senior Scientific Writer

Department: Sanofi Business Operations (SBO)


About the Team:

Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) is an internal resource organization at Sanofi designed to centralize processes and activities. It supports various global Sanofi divisions including:

  • Specialty Care

  • Vaccines

  • General Medicines

  • Consumer Healthcare (CHC)

  • Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO)

  • R&D, Data & Digital functions

SBO aims to be a strategic and functional partner delivering tactical support to Medical, HEVA (Health Economics & Value Assessment), and Commercial organizations globally.


Main Responsibilities:

Content Development & Expertise:

  • Independently create complex and specialized scientific content.

  • Manage the full content development process including documentation and approval in PromoMats/iEnvision.

  • Maintain and develop therapeutic area expertise.

  • Review and coach junior writers’ work.

  • Collaborate with peers to define and develop best practices.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders for effective delivery.

People:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (medical/scientific communities) across global business units and products.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals on publication content.

  • Mentor and support junior scientific writers.

Performance:

  • Deliver high-quality publication/medical education materials (e.g., slide decks, abstracts, posters, manuscripts) within timelines.

  • Provide strategic support to institutions and individuals contributing to publication goals.

Process:

  • Develop complex medical education/publication content.

  • Support medical communications with subject matter expertise.

  • Conduct comprehensive publication needs analysis.

  • Execute the annual publication plan for the region.

  • Collaborate with selected regional vendors to meet defined deliverables.

  • Utilize advanced training tools to enhance delivery effectiveness.

  • Improve course content based on end-user feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Coordinate with regional scientific communication teams to assess publication needs and develop deliverables.

  • Work alongside the medical department to create tailored, relevant materials.


About You:

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years in scientific content creation for pharma/healthcare/academia.

  • Education: Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medical discipline.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Therapeutic area/domain knowledge

    • Publication submission expertise

    • Project management experience

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management

    • Ability to work independently and in teams

  • Languages: Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
