The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and delivering successful clinical trials. This position is the primary point of contact for both internal teams and clients, ensuring that all activities, from start-up to closure, are completed on time, within budget, and to the expected quality. As a project leader, you will help guide teams, manage risks, and drive results.

πŸ”‘ Key Responsibilities

βœ” Client Interactions

  • Serve as the primary contact for the sponsor
  • Provide timely and efficient updates on trial progress
  • Lead client calls effectively

βœ” Project Planning & Management

  • Oversee preparation of project deliverables, such as study plans, protocols, informed consent forms, and clinical study reports
  • Coordinate the planning and conduct of the Investigator’s Meeting
  • Ensure sites have the necessary materials for the study

βœ” Quality & Risk Management

  • Ensure all studies are audit-ready at all times
  • Address quality issues as they arise, including vendor and SubCRO deliverables
  • Analyze discrepancies between planned and actual results

βœ” Budget & Timelines

  • Control project budgets, including tracking internal hours and out-of-scope activities
  • Proactively manage project timelines, resources, and vendor coordination
  • Report on recruitment status and implement initiatives to meet recruitment timelines

βœ” Team Leadership

  • Lead the core project team, including Project Managers, Coordinators, and Assistants
  • Ensure team members are adequately trained on the project
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and compliant deliverables

πŸ“Œ Requirements

πŸŽ“ Education:

  • B.Sc. in a related field of clinical research
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an asset

πŸ›  Experience:

  • At least 10 years of industry experience, including 3 years in a CRO
  • At least 7 years of clinical project management experience, overseeing multiple phases of projects
  • Experience managing multi-regional studies (NA, SA, APAC, MENA, Europe) and Phase III trials
  • Background in vendor management, clinical trial budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience in inflammatory bowel diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, or oncology trials is an asset

  • Excellent knowledge of GCP and ICH standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluency in English (bilingualism is a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving, team collaboration, and communication skills
