    Job Title: Senior Principal Scientist - Purification

    Location: Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

    Job Overview

    The Senior Principal Scientist in Peptides Purification will lead and execute advanced research projects focused on the purification of peptide molecules, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. This role will be critical in advancing peptide research and will involve managing complex scientific initiatives, mentoring teams, and driving innovation in peptide purification processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Leadership and Execution

    • Lead and manage peptide R&D purification projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
    • Design and implement advanced purification strategies for peptide molecules using solution and solid-phase techniques.
    • Purification of peptide impurities and other components as per research needs.
    • Take ownership of solvent recovery and yield improvements.

    Team Leadership and Development

    • Mentor and manage a team of scientists and research associates involved in peptide purification processes.
    • Train and guide teams to improve and adopt new chemical technologies, promoting a culture of innovation.
    • Foster a positive and productive research environment, encouraging the development of new methodologies.

    Strategic Planning and Compliance

    • Develop and implement strategic plans for peptide R&D that align with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and requirements governing peptide drug development.
    • Ensure teams are well-prepared for successful regulatory inspections, with no critical observations.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including operations, marketing, quality, and senior leaders.
    • Work closely with vendors and customers, as needed, to ensure project success and meet customer requirements.

    EHS and Cultural Transformation

    • Drive major EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) cultural transformation initiatives to improve safety standards across research activities.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with a focus on peptides.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in peptide purification, including significant experience leading R&D projects.
    • Skills:
      • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
      • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions.
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
