Main Purpose of Role:
The Senior Nutrition Sales Executive is responsible for conducting market research and feasibility studies to analyze and identify alternative business development opportunities. This role focuses on driving market share growth and strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to promote Abbott's nutritional products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand market and category opportunities within the territory to drive growth at the customer/account level.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical and nutritional science, healthcare trends, and digital developments to support the selling and education of HCPs on Abbott products.
  • Develop and execute multichannel engagement plans that generate demand for Abbott products and increase market share.
  • Leverage customer segmentation and behavioral insights to inform engagement strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HCPs at various levels of influence within the account.
  • Secure commitment from HCPs to recommend Abbott products by enhancing their understanding of the role of nutrition in patient care.
  • Articulate and deliver Abbott’s unique value proposition from the HCP’s perspective, continually identifying HCP needs.
  • Deliver consultative sales calls, expand HCP knowledge of nutrition interventions, address objections, and gain commitment to recommend Abbott products.
  • Establish target customers and develop plans to achieve call rate objectives and maximize account coverage.
  • Use customer segmentation to identify new leads and ensure accurate reporting of daily activities.
  • Refine HCP profiles using digital and omnichannel data to improve engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote nutrition education and influence patient and customer product choices.
  • Measure progress against customer objectives, taking corrective action to meet KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
