The Position: Medical Information Specialist

As a critical member of the Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) team, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and supporting the effective use of pharmaceutical products. Your responsibilities will include managing global inbox activities, processing adverse event reports, product quality complaints, and responding to medical inquiries. In addition, you will contribute to medical communications operations and drug safety activities while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbox and Case Management:

    • Manage the global inbox and process adverse event reports, product quality complaints, and medical inquiries.
    • Identify adverse events and product complaints during data entry of medical inquiries.
    • Write and file detailed adverse event and product quality complaint reports.
  • Coordination and Communication:

    • Respond to quality-related complaints, coordinating with client managers when necessary.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with client performance standards.
  • Mentorship and Training:

    • Mentor junior staff and provide both initial and ongoing training.
    • Perform peer reviews and quality monitoring for the global inbox team.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Monitor and optimize work processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
    • Manage assigned medical communications and drug safety tasks as specified by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Pharm.D, Master of Science (MSc), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or other Life Sciences degrees are required.
  • Experience and Skills:

    • Strong documentation skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Familiarity with data entry, case processing, and medical writing is highly desirable.
