A Day in the Life

As a representative of Medical Affairs for India, you'll play a crucial role in developing and executing medical projects across various therapeutic areas. You will be the clinical and medical face of Medtronic, acting as the voice of local customers and authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent Medtronic within the country/region, communicating customer and authority needs to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish effective collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Health Economic, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, global team), physicians, and hospitals.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the science behind our products and develop competitive intelligence.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee integrated, evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans.
  • Develop real-world evidence and projects in alignment with regional and global strategies.
  • Facilitate Investigator-Initiated Studies and External Research Programs, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
  • Provide strategic medical input and support to clinical studies.
  • Develop and articulate value propositions for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders through appropriate channels.
  • Build knowledge in reimbursement and health management to address clinical solutions.
  • Drive education and outreach for the safe and effective use of products.
  • Lead Health Care Professional (HCP) education and engagement plans.
  • Develop and lead physician advisory boards and consultancies.
  • Stay aware of local clinical activity and new clinical evidence, providing input to sales and marketing leaders.
  • Advise the local marketing organization on publication outcomes and communication strategies.
  • Provide expert review of marketing/sales presentations, scientific communications, and publications.
  • Disseminate clinical evidence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide input to support tenders when needed.
  • Act as the clinical representative of Medtronic to competent authorities.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • MBBS/MD/MS
  • In-depth knowledge of local laws and regulations for clinical research and pharmaceutical conduct codes.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, clinical research, or clinical marketing roles. Advanced degrees in related fields are also acceptable.
