The Position:

As Senior Marketing Manager, Obesity, you will be at the forefront of changing the landscape for the 160 million people living with obesity in India. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction within the therapy area and lead cross-functional teams to deliver business growth and market leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategy Development & Execution: Shape and execute the marketing strategy for the obesity portfolio, ensuring alignment with the patients' journey and maximizing business potential.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team to execute the obesity strategy, ensuring excellence in delivering the business goals.
  • Business Growth: Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth, adopting an agile approach to adjust to new challenges.
  • Brand Development: Establish Novo Nordisk as a preferred partner in the obesity space and drive brand positioning, messaging, and clinical evidence.
  • Organizational Education: Inspire the organization by educating teams on the obesity portfolio launch strategy, core brand story, and key messages.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field with an MBA from a premier B-school.
  • Experience: 12+ years of total experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position in pharmaceutical/healthcare, consumer goods, or private market sales.
  • Skills:
    • Proven expertise in marketing, sales, and business development.
    • Strong experience with product launches and brand marketing strategy.
    • Track record in identifying innovative promotional tools and ensuring ROI.
    • Knowledge of the obesity market and its competitive landscape is desirable.
    • Strong market research and intelligence-gathering abilities.
    • Expertise in managing large conference and meeting-related initiatives.

The Obesity Business Unit is driven by values of support, growth, and innovation. As the Senior Marketing Manager, you will report to the Senior Business Unit Director, Obesity, and lead a team dedicated to making a positive impact in the obesity therapy area.
