Job Description: Senior Managing Consultant

Navitas Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to lead our growing team. This senior role involves building and managing client relationships, overseeing consultancy projects, and driving business development. The successful candidate will bring fresh insights and leadership to deliver robust client solutions and foster company growth.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

  • Lead Complex Projects: Manage a portfolio of complex consultancy projects, serving as the prime client contact.
  • Insight & Design: Provide leadership and insight into the analysis, design, and implementation of projects.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgeting and financial controls to ensure profitability.
  • Brand Building: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on projects, enhancing the Navitas Life Sciences brand and contributing thought leadership.

Business Development:

  • Revenue Generation: Conduct business development activities to achieve sales growth, targeting revenue of $500k - $1M.
  • Client Relationships: Lead key accounts (3-4) to build existing relationships and develop repeat business.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, conferences, and other channels.
  • Full BD Cycle: Manage the full business development cycle, including lead generation, client meetings, proposal development, and successful negotiation closures.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends and competitor intelligence to maintain a competitive edge.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Mentorship & Coaching: Mentor and coach project team members and direct reports (2-6 team members, 1-2 direct reports).
  • Resource Management: Manage workload and resource distribution within and across project teams.
  • Performance Enhancement: Set objectives, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals to enhance team performance.

Company Leadership & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Strategic Involvement: Lead or co-lead strategic themes, internal projects, and business improvement initiatives.
  • Collateral Development: Develop case studies, new concepts, and points of view (PoV) for projects and domain areas.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Partner with colleagues to share domain, business, and client insights.
  • Role Model: Actively participate in company operations, leading sessions and serving as a role model.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Industry Experience: 10 years in the Life Sciences industry or consulting, including 6-8 years in a Senior Consulting role and 3 years in a Pharma industry role.
  • Business Development: At least 3 years in a business development role, with proven success in generating $500k - $1M in revenue.
  • Expertise Areas: Preferred expertise in Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Development Processes, Labeling, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Management, Quality, and Compliance.
  • Consulting Skills: Advanced consulting skills, methodologies, and tools.
  • Communication & Facilitation: Compelling communication skills and advanced facilitation abilities.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in managing senior-level client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex projects, resources, and ensuring profitability.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
  • Personal Attributes: Gravitas, self-awareness, resilience, and the ability to manage ambiguity.

This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership, consulting, and business development skills, along with a deep understanding of the Life Sciences sector.
