Role Overview

The Senior Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence, will oversee the execution and closure of activities aligned with the strategic objectives of the Global Biostatistics & Data Sciences Function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence, this role is crucial for implementing and managing scientific, operational, regulatory, and custom reporting efforts. The position combines life sciences strategy, leadership, and reporting expertise to meet the information needs across WWPS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics and Reporting

    • Develop and enhance data analytics models to provide insights into efficiency, quality, stakeholder feedback, and key performance indicators.
    • Maintain and advance reporting databases and analytics applications using tools like Excel, Tableau, Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Spotfire, Power BI, and other BMS environments.
    • Collaborate with the validation team to create validation plans, test scripts, and summary reports.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research with cross-functional teams (e.g., Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology).
    • Aggregate and analyze data to generate actionable recommendations and address key business questions.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations on activities, outcomes, and trends to management.
  • Program and Project Support

    • Stay updated on healthcare industry changes and their impact on analytical programs and reporting.
    • Address and resolve key stakeholder complaints, proposing effective solutions in collaboration with functional leads.
    • Support innovation initiatives and process improvements.
    • Define and report metrics for GBDS/WWPS initiatives, offering insights to facilitate decision-making.
    • Assess the impact of new PV tools and processes on current practices.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Degree in Life Sciences, Information, or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Experience: 12+ years in Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance with advanced skills in Tableau, Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Spotfire, Power BI.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in databases (Postgres, Oracle, MS Access), programming languages (SQL, VBA, Python), and reporting platforms (Cognos, SAP-Business Objects).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial coding dictionaries (MedDRA, WHO Drug), taxonomies, and knowledge management constructs.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Additional Competencies: Ability to handle complex problems, lead critical path analyses, support scenario planning, and maintain confidentiality and integrity.
