Senior Manager – Market Insights & Analytics (MI&A)

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, MI&A will play a pivotal role within the Market Insights and Analytics Team by delivering data-driven recommendations to guide critical business decisions. This individual will support the insights and analytics requirements for products in SUN Pharma's Branded US Portfolio, partnering closely with Brand Marketing and cross-functional teams to enable effective decision-making.

This position requires a proactive, independent approach to managing business needs and deadlines while driving company initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnering:

    • Act as a problem-solving partner for franchises and brands by building strong relationships with cross-functional team members.
    • Collaborate to understand and address unique business challenges.
  • Insights & Analytics:

    • Translate business needs into actionable, analytics-focused efforts to deliver strategic insights and recommendations.
    • Lead both qualitative and quantitative market research projects, including vendor selection, design, execution, and results presentation.
  • Data Expertise:

    • Leverage expertise in secondary pharmaceutical databases to address analytical questions from cross-functional teams.
    • Manage competitive intelligence activities for products and therapeutic areas.
  • Collaboration & Compliance:

    • Work with MI&A team members and the Director to brainstorm optimal solutions for research questions.
    • Ensure adherence to internal and external compliance guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry, with most experience in the US market.
    • At least 5 years in marketing research, analytics, or related roles involving:
      • Strategic problem framing.
      • Generating insights through primary research and secondary analytics.
      • Synthesizing actionable solutions.
      • Measuring business impact.
    • Expertise in pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Claims data).
    • Proven experience in competitive intelligence collection.
  • Skills & Preferences:

    • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
    • Demonstrated project management and stakeholder influencing skills.
    • Cross-functional experience preferred (e.g., managed markets, pricing, medical, sales).
    • Experience launching US pharmaceutical products (preferred).
    • Knowledge of therapeutic areas like Dermatology, Ophthalmology, or Oncology (preferred).
