About This Role:
The Senior Manager, Data Management is responsible for overseeing a team of high-level contributors or managers, ensuring the successful delivery of project deliverables on time and with high quality. This role involves resource management, staff development, business development, and providing leadership and consultation on Data Management (DM) projects. The Senior Manager serves as an Account Lead, ensuring effective collaboration with clients and internal teams, and is responsible for managing project execution, financial performance, and maintaining client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team, ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and provide performance feedback.
  • Oversee departmental activities, including staffing, quality control, and timely delivery of projects.
  • Support staff development and training, acting as a subject matter expert for functional processes.
  • Collaborate with other Account Leads to manage team performance and contribute to client accounts.

Account Leadership:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing escalations and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Identify potential issues and communicate concerns to senior management for proactive solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Biostatistics Account Leads and ensure project progress and quality.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen partnerships with clients and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Oversee resource allocation, recruitment, and ensure sufficient resources to support projects.

Quality Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure team meets productivity and quality metrics, reviewing team deliverables for compliance.
  • Lead reviews of role-specific training curricula and Parexel process documents.
  • Ensure adherence to ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and Parexel SOPs.
  • Check the quality of deliverables and implement corrective actions as needed.

Financial & Resource Management:

  • Ensure proper resourcing and staffing for client projects.
  • Oversee financial reviews and provide feedback on team financials.
  • Support financial excellence and collaborate with subject matter experts on financial planning.

Initiatives & Business Development:

  • Lead initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration and contribute to bid pursuit activities.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including supporting team and attending client presentations.
  • Lead system/standards improvement activities within Parexel and the department.

General Activities:

  • Foster a positive and results-oriented work environment, encouraging teamwork.
  • Complete routine administrative tasks (timesheets, metrics, travel expenses) on time.

  • Ensure maximum utilization of team members and drive compliance with SOPs.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Significant experience in a similar leadership position, including previous line management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading successful projects and teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-functional activities in Data Management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines, local regulatory requirements, and Parexel SOPs.
  • Experience in client relationship management and project oversight.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or industry-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree, preferably in a science or industry-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification or involvement in a professional society is recommended.
