Position Title: Senior Healthcare Executive

Role Overview: Pfizer India is seeking experienced frontline sales professionals to join our team as Senior Healthcare Executives. This role offers a significant opportunity to drive sales and build long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in various therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and enhancing customer relationships, optimizing business potential, and achieving sales targets within their designated territory.

A. Appointment: The Senior Healthcare Executive will hold a key role within the Executive Cadre, acting as a vital link between Pfizer and its customers. This position involves independent responsibility in accordance with company policies, focusing on territory development, customer engagement, and business optimization.

B. Role Purpose: The Senior Healthcare Executive will be the primary interface between Pfizer and the medical community. This role involves briefing medical professionals on the scientific features and patient care benefits of Pfizer products, achieving budgeted sales through strategic coverage, and implementing promotional strategies and customer service initiatives.

C. Job Specifications:

  1. Qualification:

    • Graduation Degree in Sciences or Pharmacy is preferred.
    • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  2. Special Skills & Knowledge:

    • In-depth knowledge of therapeutic segments and related medical information.
    • Understanding of regulatory aspects and issues in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Familiarity with Pfizer policies and procedures, including promotional practices and adverse event reporting.
  3. Key Competencies:

    • High drive for results and strong performance orientation.
    • Effective planning and prioritizing skills.
    • Articulate communication in clinical settings.
    • Strong customer focus, integrity, and commitment.

D. Key Accountabilities:

  1. Strategic/Policy:

    • Understand and execute the role in alignment with company objectives and policies.
    • Develop and discuss monthly sales plans with the Healthcare District Manager and Regional Business Manager.
    • Categorize medical practitioners into A, B, and C categories based on importance and plan visits accordingly.
    • Adhere to coverage plans and Pfizer policies.
  2. Operational:

    • Regularly visit hospitals to drive sales of major products and gather competitor information.
    • Keep updated on competitor activities and manage product availability in retail.
    • Implement special schedules and promotional strategies for product launches and campaigns.
    • Provide detailed product information to doctors and prepare daily reports on activities.
    • Maintain relationships with medical practitioners, consultants, and KOLs.
    • Handle adverse events and product complaints in accordance with SOPs.
    • Conduct meetings, speaker programs, and camps in collaboration with medical associations.
  3. People:

  4. Financial:

    • Achieve sales budgets and assist in receivables collection.
    • Ensure proper use of product samples and promotional materials.
    • Maintain accurate expense reporting.

E. Performance Measures:

  • Achievement and exceeding of sales targets for both in-line and key development products (KDPs).
  • Activity measures and productivity norms.
  • Compliance with SOPs and account receivable norms.
