About the Department:

The Ischemic Heart Disease Team is a key part of the Cardiovascular Area within Global Medical Affairs at Novo Nordisk, based in Søborg, Denmark. The Position:

As a Senior Global Medical Manager or Global Medical Manager within the Ischemic Heart Disease team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your medical expertise to shape the future of cardiovascular treatments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and contribute to the development of strategic medical initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Scientific Leadership: Provide timely, accurate, and credible scientific input on various projects, ensuring the integration of medical expertise throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams from Commercial, Market Access, Clinical Development, and other functional areas to drive medical strategies and ensure alignment on key initiatives.
  • Engage with KOLs: Foster productive relationships with KOLs in ischemic heart disease, contributing to the scientific dialogue and providing valuable input to the development of new treatments.
  • Clinical Trials & Publications: Provide medical input to clinical trial development and drive the publication of results from clinical trials and Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies. This includes working with external authors, statisticians, and medical writers.
  • Medical Education & Guidance: Advise on the development of medical educational materials and provide guidance on promotional materials and strategies.
  • Scientific Communication: Present data internally and externally, participate in international conferences, and represent the company at scientific meetings.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Support the Medical Director in strategic decision-making and provide leadership within the team, ensuring that the medical aspects of product development are optimally managed.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should bring the following qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor with clinical and research experience, ideally in cardiovascular diseases.
  • Specialist diploma in cardiology, internal medicine, or a related specialty, with a Ph.D. considered a strong asset.
  • For the Senior Global Medical Manager role, significant experience within Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry is required. For the Global Medical Manager role, prior experience in the industry is beneficial but not essential.
  • A proven track record of leading cross-functional projects in late-stage Research & Development (clinical, medical, regulatory).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders, steering committees, academia, and other external partners.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • A results-driven attitude with the ability to thrive in complex environments and solve problems effectively.
