Position Overview

The Senior General Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving business development strategies, achieving sales goals, and contributing to Lambda’s growth. The position requires a seasoned professional with expertise in clinical trials, client relationship management, and strategic planning to secure and retain business opportunities across global markets.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and sales strategies for a specified region or client accounts.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in Early and Late Phase clinical trials.
  • Meet annual sales objectives and contribute to the organization’s growth trajectory.
  • Actively shape the business strategy by providing insights during board discussions.

Client Relations

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Organize and deliver sponsor presentations, including bid defense meetings.
  • Manage client retention efforts through effective communication and service delivery.

Proposal & Market Analysis

  • Collect and analyze critical data for proposal preparation and ensure timely submissions.
  • Support and guide the team through RFI/RFP processes.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the clinical trial industry.

Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead and mentor the business development team, encouraging collaboration and transparency.
  • Provide detailed reports and strategic insights to the VP and senior management.
  • Represent Lambda at major industry events and tradeshows to foster business growth.

Allied Responsibilities

  • Explore new markets and research potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
  • Promote best practices in reporting and departmental communication.

Experience & Skills Required

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in business development, with a focus on clinical trials (Phases 1 to 4).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships.

Educational Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Advanced degrees such as MBA, Master’s, or PhD are preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic business environments.
