Overview

Join our Clinical Data and Insights (CDI) team, where we lead the delivery of clinical data and insights through simplification, quality by design, and collaboration. As the Senior Director of Clinical Data Projects, you will manage complex, critical projects with multi-faceted stakeholder management needs and drive strategy at the program level to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Accountabilities

  • Program Leadership: Oversee multiple sub-areas aligned with complex projects, providing program-level project management strategy and developing program frameworks.
  • Operational Management: Manage project operations, including planning tools, metrics, framework compliance, RAID logs, reporting, finances, and project support.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate closely with external suppliers, Project Leads, IT Project Managers, and cross-functional colleagues across CDI, Dev Ops, R&D, and IT.
  • Resource Management: Identify required resources, mobilize project teams, and assign individual responsibilities effectively.
  • Team Building: Lead and encourage teamwork within business project teams, fostering collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Manage relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately captured and understood.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts, communications, training, and other elements aligned with programs or projects.
  • Business Case Development: Create or adjust business cases for projects as needed, tracking costs against the budget and identifying potential benefits.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop effective business processes and ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures.
  • Risk Resolution: Identify and drive the resolution of risks and issues that arise during project execution.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in business and/or sciences.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years with a relevant Bachelor's degree.
    • 7+ years with a relevant Master's degree.
    • 5+ years with a relevant PhD.
    • Experience in consulting, business operations, reporting, and analysis/data management.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of clinical trial functions and their key systems and processes.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in program/project management with a successful track record.
  • Project Management Principles: Knowledge and application of key project management methodologies (e.g., AGILE, PRINCE2, Lean).
  • Innovative Solutions: Evidence of developing innovative solutions that have a significant impact within the organization.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple decision-makers and develop various recommendations.
  • Networking Skills: Strong networking capabilities to interact effectively within the company and externally.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across teams.
