Summary:

The Senior DEI Generalist/Partner will play a strategic role in supporting Novartis' commitment to reviewing HR practices beyond base pay to eliminate bias as part of the EPIC pledge project. This role will lead and drive the implementation of strategic DEI initiatives across key workstreams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and external regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Bias Identification & Mitigation:

  • Collaborate with P&O Global Process Owners (GPOs) to identify bias in employee lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure compliance and alignment between the EPIC pledge pillars.
  • Support statistical analysis to identify equity hotspots across the talent lifecycle.
  • Define remediation plans and oversee their implementation for legal entities with 100+ employees.

Training & Development:

  • Design and implement human-centered design principles training for global process owners.
  • Develop and tailor bias training content to align with Novartis’ culture and values.
  • Oversee audience segmentation and ensure effective delivery of training programs.

Strategic DEI Alignment:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align EPIC initiatives with global DEI strategic plans.
  • Support external reporting efforts, ensuring proper documentation and process definition.
  • Validate methodologies and manage phased implementation across legal entities.

Essential Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in DEI, HR, or related fields with a focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Expertise in bias identification and mitigation within HR processes.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of driving multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and reporting.
  • Excellent facilitation and training skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment.
