Job Overview:
IQVIA is seeking a Senior Data Team Lead to independently manage the end-to-end delivery of data management services for complex clinical trials or multi-service projects. This leadership role ensures high-quality deliverables, timely execution, and client satisfaction while aligning with regulatory standards and IQVIA’s processes. You will act as the primary customer contact and serve as a key liaison in project planning, service management, financial oversight, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Serve as the primary data management contact for customers.

  • Lead and support DTLs in managing large global studies or programs.

  • Conduct negotiations with clients regarding timelines, finances, and resourcing.

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders to fulfill contractual obligations.

Service Management:

  • Oversee regular meetings with Data Operations Coordinators and team members to ensure milestones are achieved.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data team members.

  • Manage data service delivery with strong command of DM processes.

  • Act as an escalation point for unresolved data issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Review and approve Data Management Plans (DMPs), ensuring deliverables meet scope and quality.

  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and quality performance.

  • Take ownership as SME or site lead for specific customers and technology initiatives.

  • Maintain internal tracking databases and documentation.

Financial & Business Development Support:

  • Manage Statement of Work (SOW), track budgets, and participate in project financial reviews.

  • Identify and manage out-of-scope activities, ensuring change orders are processed.

  • Support RFP responses, pricing, and bid defense presentations.

  • Act as Project Manager for single-service DM projects, including financial tracking and invoicing.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives for process optimization and technology implementation.

  • Present in workshops or professional forums and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities.

  • Assist in SOP and work instruction development and maintenance.

  • Perform additional tasks as directed by functional leadership.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences or a related field

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience considered

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of direct Data Management experience, including 5+ years in a CDM project leadership role

  • Proven success managing global trials with at least 1000 patients from start to finish

  • Experience in complex customer negotiations and bid defense meetings

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Expertise in data management methodologies, SAE reconciliation, vendor data integration, and local lab data management

  • Strong understanding of GCP, clinical development lifecycle, and relevant regulatory standards

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology

  • Proficient in SOP and work instruction application

  • Effective leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

  • Strong relationship-building with clients, teams, and management

Compensation:

  • Estimated base pay: $82,300.00 – $173,900.00 annually

  • Final compensation may vary depending on qualifications, location, and work schedule
