Position Overview

The Senior Clinical Research Scientist will work onsite daily in Abbott's Heart Failure Division. This role is vital in designing and implementing clinical evaluations, managing risk assessments, and contributing to the clinical strategy. As a scientific expert, this individual will interact with regulatory bodies, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure the success of clinical projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clinical evaluation plans, protocols, amendments, and reports.
  • Analyze scientific data and create end-to-end analysis plans to address critical scientific questions.
  • Interpret clinical results and prepare summaries for regulatory submissions and publications.
  • Present data at industry events, investigational meetings, and with regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and CROs.
  • Design trial strategies and manage clinical study timelines and budgets.
  • Support regulatory submissions and participate in audits.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
  • Act independently in planning and organizing complex project assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in clinical research, data analysis, and project management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, etc.) with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SPSS, SAS, or MATLAB.
  • Strong understanding of statistical principles and data communication.
