Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multicenter large clinical trials.
  • Contribute to the protocol and database (DB) build process.
  • Act as a liaison with sponsors on coding conventions, specifications, and coding decisions.
  • Conduct trend analysis for quality control and consistency findings.
  • Mentor and lead junior coders, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Lead coding quality control (QC) processes and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Contribute to resource management, pricing, bidding, and the development of coding tools.
  • Demonstrate sound technical knowledge in coding tool setup and implementation.
  • Manage coding setup activities and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Oversee dictionary versioning and reversion processes.
  • Define coding specifications, dictionary schemas, and auto-coding algorithms.
  • Collaborate on data management activities, ensuring the accuracy of coding deliverables within the DBL process.
  • Perform database quality control (DB QC) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Represent the team at national and international meetings related to Data Management and Coding.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • BS/BA Degree preferred in Biological Sciences, Healthcare, or Clinical Research.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of strong Medical Coding experience.
  • Expertise in WHODrug and MedDRA (Safety and non-safety) coding.
  • A solid understanding of Drug Safety protocols.
  • Experience with Thesaurus Management System (TMS) approval, dictionary cleanup, and repository maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively with sponsors and internal teams at all levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in a matrix-structured environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
