Job Title: Senior Analyst
Location: Bangalore – Electronic City


Role Description:

The SDS Author will be responsible for ensuring that the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and that they are accurate and up-to-date globally. The SDS Author must interpret and convey the information in the SDS clearly, ensuring that all relevant details are included. Effective communication with suppliers, customers, and external stakeholders is essential. The candidate should have a solid understanding of the company’s product line and the hazards associated with each product. Independent work and collaboration within the team are key. This role requires proactive decision-making and strategic planning.


Job Requirements:

  • Education: Postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Biotechnology.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in a relevant life science field. Preferably with experience in GHS and CLP knowledge.

Technical Skills / Competencies:

  • Chemistry Knowledge:

    • Basic proficiency in chemistry, with an in-depth understanding of functional groups, structures, and the ability to assess hazards based on these.
    • Ability to perform similarity searches and evaluate data from similar substances.
  • SAP User Knowledge:

    • Limited proficiency expected. Ability to navigate different screens/transactions, create specifications, and search for proper data in SAP.
  • Global Chemical Regulatory Knowledge:

    • Awareness of SDS and chemical hazards.
    • Knowledge of chemical regulations such as GHS and CLP classification.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and planning/execution skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a solid business acumen.
  • Effective communication and decision-making abilities.
