Scientist - Ligand Binding Assay
Location: Andover, MA
Type: Contract

Job Description:

The Scientist will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and executing robust ligand-binding assays (LBAs) to characterize the disposition and immunogenicity of biotherapeutics and quantify biomarkers in various matrices. The candidate will work with a range of screening platforms and assay techniques and perform sample analysis from early discovery-stage studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, qualify, and execute ligand-binding assays (LBAs) for biotherapeutic characterization and biomarker quantitation.

  • Perform sample analysis for early discovery-stage studies.

  • Handle biohazardous agents, including:

    • Meningitis

    • Staphylococcus aureus

    • Lenti Virus

    • Streptococcus pneumoniae

  • Work with NHP cells/tissues, unscreened blood, human tissue, and human cell lines.

Additional Skills:

  • Expertise in large molecule ligand-binding assay development and execution.

  • Experience in large molecule LBA study sample analysis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum education: BS in a related scientific discipline.

  • Willingness to work with biohazardous agents.

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or waiver is required.
