About the Team:
The antibody team specializes in engineering and developing antibodies with a high emphasis on reagent quality and specificity. Key activities include design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies in immunoassay applications using innovative tools. The goal is to create high-quality products and robust data to promote their use in research.

Work Schedule:
Standard (Monday to Friday)

Environmental Conditions:

  • Laboratory and office setting

  • Exposure to cold rooms/freezers (-22°F/-6°C), loud noises from equipment

  • Use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, lab coats, ear plugs)

  • Exposure to strong odors and hazardous materials

Role & Responsibilities:
The Scientist II will support molecular biology and sequencing functions within the antibody development team, driving high-throughput recombinant antibody platforms using innovative molecular techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to antibody development and testing in a high-paced environment

  • Develop next-gen methodologies, cloning strategies, and vector improvements for scalable workflows

  • Provide informal leadership and mentor junior scientists on experiment design and data analysis

  • Conceptualize and refine protocols for seamless handover to operations

  • Collaborate with product management, program management, operations, and business development teams

  • Promote innovation and cross-functional collaboration

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • PhD with up to 3 years of experience, or

  • Master’s degree with up to 8 years of experience in life sciences

Preferred Background:

  • Expertise in antibody development platforms such as hybridoma, display tech, and single B cell

  • Hands-on experience in vector design, high-throughput cloning, and sequencing

  • Knowledge of antibody/protein engineering and troubleshooting scientific challenges

  • Familiarity with high-throughput systems and automation is advantageous

  • Previous leadership in molecular biology or sequencing core facilities is a plus

  • Authorship in peer-reviewed journals and post-doctoral experience preferred

  • Proficient with MS Office, statistical software (e.g., GraphPad Prism)
