About the Antibody Team:
The Antibody team focuses on engineering and developing antibodies with an emphasis on reagent quality and specificity. The core activities include the design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies for various immunoassay applications. Our goal is to foster advanced product development and create product-specific information to enhance research capabilities.

Role Overview:
As a Scientist I, Protein Biology, you will play an integral role in the antibody development team, focusing on performance and specificity using innovative molecular, protein, biochemical, and cell biology methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute experiments meticulously to meet program goals.

  • Maintain accurate records of results in data sheets and laboratory notebooks.

  • Stay updated with recent developments in the field through regular literature mining.

  • Compile and present data in written and oral formats.

  • Actively participate in team meetings, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to schedules.

  • Utilize a strong theoretical understanding of protein and antibody conjugation chemistries.

  • Perform hands-on protein or antibody conjugations to dyes, labels, or reporter tags.

  • Contribute to the development of new conjugation protocols and site-specific conjugation strategies.

  • Use protein purification and analysis technologies such as affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, SEC, HPLC, and SDS-PAGE.

  • Work with antibody or protein engineering, rational design of mutants, and molecular biology.

  • Engage with structural biology and protein modeling tools like Pymol, Shrodinger, and Discovery Studio.

  • Apply theoretical or practical knowledge in antibody development platforms.

  • Utilize MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and possess strong statistical knowledge with software like Prism.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of protein and antibody conjugation chemistries.

  • Hands-on experience with protein or antibody conjugations and conjugation protocols.

  • Proficiency in protein purification and analysis technologies.

  • Experience or familiarity with antibody or protein engineering and molecular biology.

  • Knowledge of structural biology and protein modeling tools.

  • Ability to work effectively with statistical software and MS Office applications.

  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and improve processes or products.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers and leadership.
