Job Opportunity: Key Accountabilities

Accountability: Specialized Knowledge

  • Service Offering Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of department services to:
      • Ensure informed and relevant client discussions aligned with MedCom's offerings.
      • Contribute effectively to client solutions.
    • Adhere to and promote departmental procedures for project delivery and tracking, recommending enhancements for efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of client products and therapy areas on assigned accounts.
    • Stay updated on industry guidelines (e.g., Good Publications Practice) and ensure adherence by the team.
    • Identify relevant technical or process issues and collaborate with the team to take appropriate actions.
    • Apply specialist knowledge creatively in proposal and pitch development teams.

Accountability: Project Execution and Success

  • Content Development:
    • Produce high-quality scientific writing and editing.
    • Prioritize work and manage project schedules to meet deadlines.
    • Work within project scope and objectives, monitoring progress and scope changes, and communicate with the project lead as necessary.
    • Accurately interpret scientific data.
    • Ensure output aligns with client objectives and messages.
    • Conduct necessary research on relevant topics and maintain familiarity with available information sources.
    • Foster strong relationships with opinion leaders, authors, and other external parties to ensure project success.
    • Identify and resolve issues affecting project delivery, independently or through effective team communication.
    • Proactively communicate status and follow up on assigned actions.
    • Adhere to departmental SOPs, including quality control.
    • Seek opportunities for project efficiency and take appropriate actions.
    • Provide technical or process guidance to team members as needed.
    • Mentor and coach other team members as directed.
    • Communicate effectively with team members across all functions.
    • Participate actively in team discussions and meetings.
    • Use knowledge and experience to benefit project delivery and business success.
    • Brief team members or freelance contributors effectively.
    • Participate in peer review of work as directed.
    • Contribute to the development of accurate project budgets.

  • Client Satisfaction and Project Needs:
    • Assess project needs proactively and identify solutions to enhance client satisfaction and project profitability.
    • Resolve complex technical and process issues by collaborating with internal cross-functional teams, clients, and external bodies.
    • Identify opportunities for follow-on business and actively manage project scope changes.
    • Maintain high client satisfaction with interactions and deliverables.
    • Manage timelines and expectations through effective client communication.
