Position Summary

The Manager of Biostatistics plays an essential role on cross-functional clinical study teams, contributing to trial design, statistical analysis, result interpretation, and regulatory submissions. This role involves working closely with the Biostatistics Lead and other team members to ensure statistical integrity and adherence to best practices in clinical trials and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Trial Design: Contribute to designing clinical trials to meet study objectives and hypotheses.
  • Documentation and Analysis: Author/review key documents including protocol synopsis, statistical analysis plan, case report forms, and clinical study reports. Perform statistical analyses, both pre-planned and ad-hoc, with guidance.
  • Results Interpretation: Present and interpret statistical results to project teams, translating complex scientific concepts into layman terms.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to BMS standards, processes, and global regulatory requirements, maintaining the quality of deliverables.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with statistical methodologies, applying them effectively in trial design and data analysis to produce high-quality results.
  • Team Culture: Foster inclusiveness, respect, and a positive team environment. Promote compliance and constructive feedback within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in clinical trials, drug development, or the pharmaceutical industry (internships included).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical programming (SAS, R, or Python) for data analysis, manipulation, and graphing.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to work within cross-functional teams and manage multiple work assignments.
