Job Title: Retail Pharmacist - Per Diem

Job Overview

Nuvem's Pharmacy Management Team is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Per Diem Retail Pharmacist to provide coverage and support for the pharmacy manager at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cincinnati, OH. This role offers the flexibility of a retail pharmacy setting with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekends or major holidays.

As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will manage pharmacy operations, support patient care, collaborate with clinic providers, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role empowers you to make a meaningful impact by focusing on patient health, compliance, and satisfaction while fostering a team-oriented culture.


Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their medications.
  • Support patients with chronic and specialty conditions, ensuring quality care.

Pharmacy Operations Management

  • Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Maintain quality assurance, workflow efficiency, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Lead a culture of customer service and satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date credentials and training in Fraud, Waste, and Abuse prevention.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and train pharmacy staff, addressing knowledge gaps and promoting professional growth.
  • Act as a liaison between the pharmacy and health center clinical teams.
  • Attend clinical meetings and collaborate with healthcare providers.

Requirements

Education and Licensing

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state of Ohio or eligibility to obtain one.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Familiarity with 340B programs is a bonus but not required.
  • Strong communication and patient service skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Fine motor skills for repetitive tasks like typing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Work Schedule

  • Various hours:
    • Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
    • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • No weekends or major holidays.
